You Look Like Your Mother, You Act Like Your Dad
June 8, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Have you ever said something or reacted to a situation and in the very next moment realized that you had just mimicked your parents. In gesture, in words, in reaction, you were, for a moment, acting like them. Shock, surprise, and maybe fear that you have become your parents without your awareness. We not only carry the physical characteristics of our family but also the mental and emotional ones as well. How have they shaped your life? What “stories” do you tell yourselves about your life or the way things have turned that you might have inherited or that your parents may have taught you? How much of what you do, how much of the way you act is actually you? Are there things about your life that you do that you know is a pattern but you just have not been able to change?
Join Native Hawaiian Healer James Kawainui in the second part of his three-part series June 8 from 1- 4pm at Unity of Sedona. In this class James will speak about:
• The different kinds of memory that we carry.
• What is cellular memory and what is the science behind it
• How does it affect the choices you make and the course of your life
• How to understand when cellular memory triggers a pattern and how to “interrupt it”
• How does generational and ancestral programming determine behavior
